ASIAN YOUTH SERVICES COMMITTEE

Taking Pride in Helping Our Community Since 1990

Asian Youth Services Committeee

AYSC is a community service program under the AACC non-profit organization based in Oakland Chinatown. It is also sponsored and supported by OPD, and the program is run by youth from ages 12 - 21 or 6th to 12th graders. The mission of AYSC is to provide a youth-directed environment where members can develop social, leadership, analytical, and organizational skills to conduct projects successfully. AYSC hosts many events that allow members to interact, meet and make new friends while earning community service experiences. In addition to volunteering, AYSC offers members the opportunity to run for board positions in a safe environment that tolerates failures. Many great and experienced advisors are willing to sacrifice their free time to give constructive advice and supervision to coach and mentor these amateur board members. AYSC is supported by many of our partners and other non-profit organizations within the Oakland Chinatown Community. Click the button below to learn more about the friends of AYSC!
