Asian Youth Services Committee

AYSC is a non-profit community service organization based in Oakland Chinatown. It is run fully by youths from ages 12 to 21, or 6th to 12th graders. The mission of AYSC is to provide a youth-directed environment where members can develop social, leadership, analytical, and organizational skills to conduct projects successfully. AYSC hosts many events that allow members to interact, meet and make new friends while earning community service experiences. In addition to volunteering, AYSC offers members the opportunity to run for board positions in a safe environment that tolerates failures. Many great and experienced advisors are willing to sacrifice their free time to give constructive advice and supervision to coach and mentor these amateur board members.
